Import customs clearance in Lithuania
Import – introduction of goods or services into a country from a foreign country. Import procedures and formalities in customs in the European Union, as well as in the Republic of Lithuania, are regulated by the Customs Code of the Union.
In order for non-Union goods to enter the Union market or to be used or consumed in the customs territory of the Union for personal purposes, those goods must be placed under the release for free circulation (import clearance) procedure.
